Bodies of elderly Korean golfers recovered from Nan river | Bangkok Post: news


Officials wait on Thursday for the body of an elderly South Korean golfer who drowned in the Nan River to be brought ashore, in Phrom Phiram district of Phitsanulok. (Photo by Chinnawat Singha)PHITSANULOK: Searchers have found and retrieved the bodies of two elderly South Koreans who drowned in the Nan River after their buggy was rear-ended on a pier at a golf course in Phrom Phiram district on Tuesday. Phitsanulok governor Pipat Ekpapan said the body of Jun Yong Sung, 68, was seen floating in the river about 10.30pm on Wednesday. The bodies were taken to Buddhachinaraj Hospital in Muang district, pending ther return to South Korea. Their buggy was rear-ended by their wives' cart on the pier while they were waiting to cross the Nan River, which flows through it.
